It is because they are naive (not meaning to insult), and do not understand that it actually takes work to promote products as an affiliate. One of the biggest mistakes is that the affiliate simply sets up a website, puts their affiliate link on it, and then assumes people will find their site and they will become rich. This is definitely not the case, and when affiliates do not realize this they just give up for lack of results. This does not require any special product to fix. Someone just needs to inform the affiliate that they have to actually promote their website or nothing will happen.
The second biggest mistake is that affiliates promote their products through PPC when they have no idea what they are doing and they lose all of their money and go broke. They then conclude that affiliate marketing is impossible and they give up. This is something that will take some learning to rectify. You can try to figure it out on your own, but it will probably cost you a lot of money before you figure out how to succeed with PPC advertising. Make the initial investment and maybe in a while you'll be one like Tim and Steve, teaching others how to succeed. How would that feel?
